1️⃣Step 1: Essential Invoice Details

This is where you set the foundation of your invoice. Accuracy here is key!

Upload Logo (Optional): Click "Upload Logo" to add your brand's visual identity. A clear logo enhances professionalism. (Supports JPG, PNG, SVG, max 1MB).
Invoice Number: Assign a unique identifier (e.g., INV-0001). DueClear suggests a sequential number, but you can customize it. This is crucial for tracking.
Payment Terms: Select how soon you expect payment (e.g., Due on Receipt, NET 30). This sets clear expectations.
Issue Date: The date you're creating and sending the invoice. Defaults to today.
Due Date: Automatically calculated based on Issue Date and Payment Terms, or set manually if "Custom" terms are chosen.
Currency: Choose the appropriate currency for the transaction from our extensive list.

Clearly identify who is sending the invoice and who needs to pay it.

Invoice From: Your business details – Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Email, and Phone. Be complete and accurate.
Your TAX ID (Optional): If applicable, enter your business tax identification number.
Bill To: Your client's details – Their Business Name, Address, City, State, Zip, and Email. Double-check for accuracy to avoid payment delays.
Client's TAX ID (Optional): If your client has a tax ID that needs to be on the invoice, include it here.

Break down what you're charging for. Clarity prevents disputes.

Click "+ Add Item" for each product or service.
Item Description: Clearly describe the item or service provided.
Qty (Quantity): Enter the number of units.
Rate: The price per unit. The currency symbol updates automatically based on your selection in Step 1.
Discount (per item): Apply a percentage or fixed amount discount specifically for that line item.
The Amount for each item is calculated automatically.
Remove items using the red trash icon if needed.

DueClear automatically calculates your totals, but you can add overall adjustments.

Subtotal: Automatically calculated from your itemized list.
Overall Discount: Apply a discount (percentage or fixed amount) to the entire subtotal.
Tax: Add tax (percentage or fixed amount) if applicable. This is applied after the overall discount.
Shipping: Enter any shipping costs.
Total: The final amount due, automatically updated with all calculations.
